My impression of the Google Wave Beta
I haven't add much new content since the site changed its theme and name. I've tried out Google wave and it seems to be more of a planning/documentation tool than any thing else.
I had noted on twitter that Google wave is a feature rich application (wiki style posts, wiki style comments, comments) with a nice to look at interface but it fails to deliver on being easy to use.
The clunkiness of using Google Wave is bound to change as Google gets more feedback from it's users. As of now, Google Wave seems to try too hard to be a replacement to e-mail rather than being a unique new form of communication that would supplement e-mail.
A blog post by Loren Baxter reflects some of my thoughts on Google Wave:

In a guest article for the Harvard Business Review, Tim Brown states that Edison implemented Design Thinking while inventing the light bulb.
Tim Brown also states that implementing design during the end stages of development cycle is a tactical use of design and at best "and results in limited value creation" compared to strategically implementing design at the earlier stages of development where design thinking processes can generate the most value.
