(Offsite Article) Why do Ethnography?

The article 'Why do Ethnography?' provides examples of how ethnography improves the design of products and services. It also includes how ethnographic research differs from traditional market research.

While traditional market research focuses on quantitative data gathering and analysis, quantitative research doesn't always offer relevant insight into how people live their lives and use products and services. Traditional market research is highly dependent on how truthful or aware interviewees are on how they go about their daily lives and hence researchers may not be able to collect accurate and relevant data by solely using quantitative methods of data collection.
