dmitrig01 released a newer iteration of the VErtical Node forms mock up with the addition of summaries in the tab.
Joakim Staie/Ximo gets kudos for getting the first stable version which was used in the usability testing by Interaction Design and Information Architecture program. The video of the usabiility test using vertically tabbed node forms can be seen on: http://buytaert.net/usability-usability-and-usability
I've been bus for the past few months with Drupal theming and haven't visited ixda.org in a while.
While browsing through ixda.org's discussions, I came across:
http://google.com/insights/search/#cat=&q=interaction%20design
Which led me to checking out search statistics for 'Interaction Design' in India:
http://google.com/insights/search/#cat&q=interaction+design&geo=IN
Bangalore's at the top of the list followed by Mumbai, Chennai and then Delhi for states that have entered 'Interaction Design' while searching on google and I'm in neither one of those cities.
http://thinkdynamik.com has a well defined outline on a quick and seam free process for prototyping a website before passing the same on to a engineering and graphics design theme.
- Strategy
- Scope Definition
- Site Structure
- Page-Level Design
- Functional Specifications
More details can be seen on:
http://thinkdynamik.com/Process.html#OnLoadVariable=&CSUM=1.
You can see a list of them on the following Drupal docs spreadsheet"

Anyone not on the list who claims to be a Drupal 6 expert is probably a fraud.
In my opinion an expert is not someone who has a lot of experience but somoene who has a lot of relevant experience. The above chart contains a list of users who have contributed to patching core (and yes there are a few who have reviewed more patches than they have contributed.)

Create Installation Profile for Drupal Bloggers.
Drupal 5 has the Single User blog install profile. I have started initial attemprs to create an install profile for bloggers in Drupal 6. As of now the install profile I created (titled 'blogger') automatically activates modules used by most bloggers such as WYSIWYG and Google Analytics. On the to do list of that are:
While I had no part in building the site, there's a relatively accurate general breakdown of time used for building larger websites

- 30% Theme (includes significant ajax work)
- 20% Migration
- 25% Data architecture and implementation (CCK+Views)
- 25% Other. Wrangling contrib modules into shape. Writing custom modules.
In most sites the order (in the water fall system which could better for the overall project rather than an agile system which is better for compnents of the site such as design or modules, I personally think a waterfall with each step an agile process could work best) could be
10% base theme
Thanks to the magic tabs module, I've been able to create tab effects on http:angloindianblogs.com
Theres more tab effects I'm looking for. The vertical tabs solution makes a great application interface however for website navigation its not as effective as carousel tabsas seen on the left sidebar of http://share.triangle.com/
Carousel tabs can be great navigation. Just add them as a folder. I like how the carousel tabs open up on http://share.triangle.com/ but its a bit disconcerting when they close automatically. I'd say open up automatically but give the use a choice to close/fold the tab.
I updated a theme from Drupal 5 to Drupal 6 in just an hour:
You can see the theme here
and download it from here:
http://blix.webmediadx.com/sites/blix.webmediadx.com/files/blix.tar
The theme's official Drupal project page is on:
http://drupal.org/project/blix (The theme on there is just Drupal 5)
